Join our certified yoga teacher in guided practice through our virtual yoga program.
Our yoga classes are unique in that they focus on postpartum moms and the courses are reviewed by our specialized therapists. Whether your baby is 6 weeks or 16 years old, you are welcome in this class to learn how to coordinate the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles to control the entire abdominal canister.
Please note- you need to be at least 6 weeks postpartum (unless you are cleared by your medical provider).
Belly After Baby was developed to provide new mothers with a FREE 15-20 minute DRA (Diastasis Rectus Abdominis) screeningand brief education session. Simple activities are introduced to retrain and strengthen deep abdominal muscles. Exercise precautions, proper body mechanics and posture are discussed. All participants are given baseline measurements of the distance between the rectus abdominis muscles (performed with a tape measure) to compare and to guide recommendations. Follow up with an appropriate health care provider is recommended if a DRA and/or other health care concerns are suspected. Research has found that DRA and other health care concerns can improve with education and specific exercise.
"Safety for Our Skeleton" (SOS) Osteoporosis Education Program is a new 20 minute FREE program with on of our physical therapists encouraging: safety with posture, lifting, ADL and fall prevention suggestions in addition to providing general recommendations for exercise. This will be offered virtually or in person.
